Those familiar with Wine will enjoy using CrossOver Mac. This application allows you to run programs written for Microsoft Windows without actually installing the operating system.
CrossOver Mac includes a Windows program library of Windows programs that it can run. You will find very popular applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Quick or Windows Media Player. Keep in mind that you will still need the installer to install any application.
CrossOver Mac will create bottles, which are essentially Windows environments, for the programs you install. These include their own C drive, subdirectories, and registry.
Because CrossOver Mac is not a true virtual environment, it can run applications much faster. The downside is that you never feel like you are using Windows. Another problem with CrossOver Mac is that software that is not supported by Wine will either not work or will be unstable.

where is license tool?
Hi! when using the license tool, after it asks for my password, I get this message and the license fails:

Any ideas on what to do?
Go to settings –> security and privacy –> full disk access. Add terminal to give it full disk access. Then try liscense.tool again.

Do a manual install:
1. Open .dmg file and move/install Crossover.App in the applications or program folder
2. Copy the Croslic folder to the desktop found inside Extra folder.
3. Launch in the License.Tool terminal (admin rights (password) will be required)
4. You can use the program
What is meant by Launch “in” the License.Tool?
After you copy the croslic folder to your desktop, drag and drop the License.Tool into terminal and hit enter.
Sequoia 15.3 Intel. Crossover says it is a timed trial version for 14 days. I don’t do trials.

In the Extra folder there are VERY simple instructions to make it run not in trial mode
Ascot: I can kinda overlook the three trojan malwares that showed instantly when processing the installation of this software … But I sure as hell will not write my admin password to open an unknown app that is contained in an Extra Folder.

You don’t really need to worry about the instructions in Extra folder. Just run licensetool inside the dmg file. once the code signing is done, the app should work perfectly.
If you’re worried about malware, just keep Avira realtime protection on before installing. It’ll quarantine anything suspicious, and even after the malware is removed, Crossover still runs just fine.
