it crushed on mine once i udpated to macOS sonoma ):
Smart Scan stucks about 50% when determining potential threats, everytime on a different file, but always about 50%
Version 4.14.2 is suspicious. it asks to install a Helper every time and it installs something named “jinxin li” to the system to run in the background.
Keeps asking to install Helper every time I do a scan, even though it has full disk access
Just uninstall using the AppCleaner, then reinstall.
Once installed, open Terminal and type the following command:
sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app

“CleanMyMac X” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
To solve that, just go to applications folder on finder and search for the app. Right click on it and select open

Other than that, the actual program works perfectly well on an Intel MacOS Monteray 12.6.8

This is very normal!!! it is a cleaning App what clean your System, if you dont trust delete it.

Going back to previous version. This version keeps asking you to install Helper every time you use it.
This version 4.14.2 works fine. Every time you use the app asks to install helper. Is there a FIX version to solve this inconvenient? Thank you.
Try issuing the following command:
sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac4.Agent.plist
Issue the above after the Helper fails (don’t close the window) and try installing the Helper again. Worked for me.

Load failed: 2: No such file or directory
You need to run the Helper once to create the xxxx.plist file. It will fail but the file will be created.
After installation and using, I got an new Launch Object called “jinxin li”! Disabled cause don’t trust them. Has this tool malware?
