can you help me installing Maya 2023 on Macbook Pro M1…???
I’m not an expert but after many hours researching each and every error I got during the installation process, I managed to launch Maya. Here is how. Please notice that there are some inconsistencies as well as missing information on the Readme.txt.
1 – Install Autodesk Products for mac 2020-2024
2 – Install nlm11.18.0.0_ipv4_ipv6_mac64.tar
3 – Copy .dilyb file to :/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/AdskLicensing/Current/AdskLicensingAgent/AdskLicensingAgent.app/Contents/PlugIns/
4 – Copy the file “License.dat” to “usr/local/flexlm/licenses” (folders “flexlm” and “licenses” must be manually created)
– To access the folder: Finder => Menu => Go => Go to folder and type “/usr/local/“
5 – Disable SIP from Recovery macOS boot
– For that you need to reboot: press and hold the power button. Choose “Options”. When in recovery mode, choose the menu “utilities” and then “terminal”.
– To disable SIP: csrutil disable
– To enable again: csrutil enable
6 – Execute command scutil –get HostName. If it’s already set no need to do anything; if it responds something like hostname is not set then set it through executing the following command: sudo scutil –set Hostname [type here your LocalHostName]
– To know your LocalHostName: scutil –get LocalHostName
7 – Add this line to /etc/hosts: 127.0.0.1 localhost (you must type the word “localhost” and not replace it with your local host).
To access /etc/hosts type in the terminal: sudo nano /etc/hosts/
To record the line typed: Control+O (to open the correct “File Name to Write”); Return to save; and Control+X to exit.
8 – Execute: sudo /usr/local/flexnetserver/lmgrd -c license.dat
9. When first time launching Maya choose network license and enter “27080@localhost” as server address.
I am getting this
Network License not Available
Common cause : all licenses are in use, the server is down, or the license has expired.Contact your system
administrator or support
